Could you use more love, hope, and fun in your life?

I know I sure could.

Blue Dot Maker Shop launched in 2025, in the midst of some of the most politically stressful events of my life. Life is stressful in the USA for people on all sides of the aisles, streets and voting boxes.

I started painting these ornaments and gifts in an effort to take the anxiety and stress that was overwhelming me and funnel it into something that helped me and could help others. As I discovered what activism would look like for me, I realized my crafting and art coul.

Trying to balance caring about our country while also caring for myself has been extremely challenging. This Craftivism has been one of my coping mechanisms and ways I hope to help others.

How can gifts help while our world is so crazy?

Opening a gift that has been wrapped in love, hope and fun can lighten a mood, encourage a heart and bring a smile to your face. If I could send everyone a gift I would, but the reality of finances makes that challenging. In an effort to do as much as I can, I’ve created Gift Boxes, Ornaments and Items that you can purchase and send to yourself or others.

Blue Dot Maker Shop gifts focus on three categories:

  • Love -
People we love, passions we have and things we pour our heart into are the first category. Celebrating love is for more than just the month of February. Embracing love and the focusing on love is what makes life enjoyable, possible and worth our effort. You will find ornaments and gifts that celebrate the things and people we love.

  • Hope -
Hope has always been a focus for me. For many, it can be confused for wishing or feel very passive. I find power in the word hope and confess I can be chronically hopeful at times. When I recently laid out all of my inventory it became very clear that images or themes of hope are a majority of what I’ve created.

  • Fun -
Most of the stickers I love using make me laugh and are fun. I hope they make you laugh as well. Laughter is so good for our bodies and souls and I hope these bring you a smile, a laugh or a really deep belly laugh.

Sources of Hope

One of the sources that has been a lifeline for me is the Podcast “We Can Do Hard Things”.

We Can Do Hard Things

One of the sources that has been a lifeline for me is the Podcast “We Can Do Hard Things”.

One of my favorite podcasts is We Can Do Hard Things.

Recently, Glennon Doyle shared some thoughts about our current political reality.

What Glennon shared inspired me to include the words Freedom Fleet and “We sail for all!” onto each ornament.

I recommend listening or watching this episode to find out more.
