Activism Sometimes Looks Like Craftivism
2025 and now 2026, so far, have been a LOT!
My mental health and coping skills have been stretched beyond what I thought was possible as I watch all our checks, balances and leadership collapse or corrupt the US. In September, I started painting and by 2026 I have about 400 items that I’ve made.
I call my art Craftivism because it was born out of my desire to be part of the activism needed in the United States as well as a need to create.
That is how Blue Dot Maker Shop came to be.
Some day it will be big enough that I can get down to my dream job…giving away other peoples money.
Till then, I gotta earn some so I can give some.

Our owner and resident artist is Jennie Jorgens who likes to say, “I’m in my activism and craftivism era.”
Crafting has made 2025 less hard to survive. We hope we can share some of that hope and joy with you.

All ornaments come with a sticker on the back with our logo as well as one I made for the Freedom Fleet. We Can Do Hard is a podcast that has been a lifeline and they inspired me, so I added the Freedom Fleet Logo and a QR Code to items made in 2026. Click here to find out more.
